Friday Night Skate to the Airport
On July 26, 2002, there was a Friday Night Skate to Pulkovo-1 airport (St.Petersburg)
It was a very first night attempt to reach this destination on skates. Local skaters started from Palace Square (Dvortsovaia Ploshad), our usual meeting place, on 23:30. The distance to the airport is about 25 km. There were many intermediate stops to wait everybody. Totally there were 21 skaters, and all this group reached the goal. A bar woman was not able to say anything while seeing skaters. Already inside the airport, skaters decided to eat and drink a little. After relaxing, all the group skated back to the town.
